Mad Dash

The Mad Dash is a versatile performance shortboard designed to handle a wide variety of waves and conditions—from point breaks and reefs to beach breaks. It offers a user-friendly feel while maintaining high-performance DNA.

• Outline: A fuller nose combined with a wider tail creates a fast, drivey feel, making the Mad Dash an excellent choice for everyday sessions in less-than-epic conditions.  The squash tail version features a defined hip paired with a wider squash tail which creates drive off the bottom and clean release out of turns.  The round tail version has a continuous clean outline curve with narrower tail block.  By reducing surface area in the last few inches of the tail, the round tail offers greater control at higher speeds and allows for more precise turns in tighter, more powerful pockets. It also expands the board’s range into slightly bigger, steeper, and more powerful waves. 

• Rocker: The rocker is flatter through the center of the board with a relaxed entry and added tail kick, creating quick acceleration from takeoff while maintaining responsiveness and control. This rocker profile is designed to carry speed through flat sections, while still providing enough curve to push hard and turn in the pocket. 

• Bottom: The bottom contour features a single concave beginning in the nose and running under the front foot, blending into a double concave and finishing with V out the tail. This combination generates effortless speed while improving rail-to-rail transitions and maintaining control at higher speeds.

• Volume: Extra volume in the nose, tail, and under the chest helps maintain speed in softer waves.

• Rail: Medium-low round rail for increased sensitivity and hold.
