When your shortboard just won't cut it, the Step Up is a great option to give you the confidence you need in solid surf.  Constantly refined over the past 20 years the Step up combines the response of a shortboard with the extra paddle power and hold needed for bigger powerful waves.

Ride 3-8" longer and at least 1/8" thicker than your standard shortboard.

Rocker: A healthy amount of rocker that fits into the face of steep hollow waves but will still allow you to step on the gas and get down the line or it has just the right combination of speed, drive, maneuverability and control.

Bottom: Slight single to double concave to keep it simple and predictable.

Volume:  Thickness is pushed forward which helps to get into waves early and make steep late drops.

Rails: lower volume sensitive rails for control.

Tail Options: Round Pin, Round, Baby Swallow

Recommended wave Size: 6-16' faces.
